Business services - An analysis of structural, foreign affiliates and business demography statistics - Data 2001
The main objective of this publication is to present the results of the development project on business services. The centre of interest of the above development project relates to the statistical results on computer services (division 72 of NACE Rev. 1) and other business services (part of division 74 of NACE Rev. 1). First, the Business services importance in the market economy is analysed. Then, based on the detailed turnover by product data each product's impact on turnover, consistency of product level statistics and product specialisation are analysed. Information on turnover by client is used to analyse the type and location of client and client specialisation. Data on value-added, personnel costs and employment enables the analysis on productivity and personnel cost issues. In order to provide a complete picture of this sector, additional statistical analysis on foreign affiliates and on business demography within business services have been carried out.
