In 2015, a total of 53 million tonnes of potatoes were harvested in the EU. Germany was the largest producer and accounted for 20 % of the EU production, followed by France and the Netherlands (both 13 %), Poland (12 %) and the United Kingdom (11 %).
These five Member States accounted for more than two thirds of the total EU production of potatoes.
