Eurostat’s new 2024 statistical report on Equality and Non-Discrimination in the EU is out now, showcasing the most important indicators in this area and reflecting the European Union's commitment to core values such as equality, human rights, pluralism, tolerance, and the elimination of discrimination.

The publication presents a selection of key equality and non-discrimination statistics for the EU as a whole as well as national data and EFTA. It includes 5 chapters highlighting potential inequalities between various social groups in different areas of life (population, health, education, labour market and income and living conditions), and one chapter focused on gender-based violence and experience of discrimination. Data is presented taking into account a variety of grounds of discrimination, such as sex, age, disability, citizenship or country of origin.

These valuable statistics not only help to identify disparities but are also crucial in policymaking and monitoring, being useful to governments, non-governmental organisations and the general public.
