Characteristics of asylum seekers in Europe
This publication describes the characteristics of the main groups of asylum seekers in Europe. It gives insight on the changes in the main groups of asylum applicants between 2008 and 2009. The country of destination as well as the gender and age distribution of these groups are discussed. An overview of the characteristics of unaccompanied minor applicants is also included.
