Forest-based industries in the EU-27 - Issue number 74/2008 - Products Statistics in Focus

Downstream of the forestry sector, the EU-27 displays a diversified wood-processing chain that is rich in tradition. In some Member States, forest-based industries are major employers of the manufacturing sector. This publication analyses the structure, performance and evolution of the forest based industries: Manufacturing of wood and wood products, Pulp, paper and paper products and Printing and services related to printing. It includes a separate section focussed on the related activity of furniture manufacturing (NACE 36.1).
