Back Euro area international trade in goods deficit €34.4 bn


Euro area: The first estimate for euro area exports of goods to the rest of the world in September 2022 was €259.6 billion, an increase of 23.6% compared with September 2021 (€210.1 bn). Imports from the rest of the world stood at €294.0 bn, a rise of 44.5% compared with September 2021 (€203.4 bn). As a result, the euro area recorded a €34.4 bn deficit in trade in goods with the rest of the world in September 2022, compared with a surplus of €6.7 bn in September 2021. Intra-euro area trade rose to €247.6 bn in September 2022, up by 27.3% compared with September 2021 (€194.5 bn).
