The Statistical Office in Slovakia joins European Statistics Day 2023 - European Statistical System (ESS)

To celebrate the ESD 2023, the SO SR prepared several activities:

• Press release on promoting the European Statistics Day
• The release of the report on theme Poverty presenting the latest statistics through interpretation and visuals with the focus on disparities among regions
• The release of the summary analyses on the development of wages in the economy over the 30 years of existence of the independent Slovak Republic.
• The release of the report on Slovak cities showing the life through selected indicators. Interactive graphs are also included presenting the development in a longer time period
• A series of communication posts on social media in three different thematic lines bringing interesting facts to the public:
  • the importance of official statistics for the life of society
  • European statistics and skills of the population using the comparison of selected indicators within the European Year of Skills
  • popular facts with the aim of bringing the citizens closer to the use of statistical data in everyday life
• The internal newsletter Svet štatistiky will inform employees about the ESD 2023
