Beratung der Mitgliedstaaten
Eurostat provides bilateral advice to Member States of the EU and European Free Trade Association (EFTA) countries when requested on specific cases. This may be before or after the transactions themselves are undertaken. The advice takes the form of letters addressed to the national statistical authorities.
In cases where the preparation of future events are of confidential nature, Eurostat does not publish its advice until these events have been announced by the relevant national authority.
Please see also the guidelines for Eurostat's ex-ante and ex-post advice (clarifications and decisions) on methodological issues.
