Farm Structure Survey in Portugal - 2007 - Issue number 22/2009 - Products Statistics in Focus

This Statistics in Focus is part of a series of country-specific publications on the results of the Farm Structure Survey (FSS) 2007. It provides a brief but nevertheless comprehensive insight into the farm structure in Portugal. 275 000 agricultural holdings were recorded in Portugal in the 2007 Farm Structure Survey (15% less than in 2005). The reduction in the number of smaller farms is greater (-18%) than in larger ones (-4 %).
