Environmental Protection Expenditure in Europe by public sector and specialised producers 1995-2002 - Issue number 10/2005 - Products Statistics in Focus

This Statistics in Focus describes the environmental protection expenditure in the public sector and specialised producers. The focus of this publication concerns investments and current expenditure for protecting the environment in the EU, the Accession countries and EFTA countries where data are available. The public sector refers to general government, municipalities and government agencies. Specialised producers consist mainly of public or private businesses providing environmental services such as waste or wastewater treatment. The data source is a survey performed jointly with the OECD on expenditure.
