Population in Europe 2005: first results - Issue number 16/2006 - Products Statistics in Focus

The SiF presents the main demographic trends in Europe in 2005. Population in the European Union has grown to more than 463 million, mainly thanks to the contribution by migration. In 2005, there have still been more births (4.84 million) than deaths (4.46 million), while estimated net migration has decreased to 1.65 million.
