Members of Caritas Europa organisations from all over Europe will get together with representatives from EU institutions, civil society and other stakeholders in the European Parliament for the launch of ZERO POVERTY – ACT NOW campaign.
MEP Ms Elisabeth Schroedter, Vice-chairwoman of the Committee on Employment and Social Affairs, will host the event. Highlight: the presentation of the Caritas Europa paper entitled “Poverty Among us” which, on the one hand explains poverty and social exclusion in our society today, and on the other hand illustrates poverty on the basis of life experiences. Other materials and tools relating to the CE campaign will also be displayed (campaign website; petition; messages; teachers material…)
