2010 Changing Europe Conference

Od 23/06 Komu 25/06

From 23 to 25 June 2010, EMN and the CDFA  (Community Development Financial Association) are organising, for the first time, an Annual Joint Conference which will be held in London (UK), with the support of the European Commission, the Levi Strauss Foundation, MicroBank, Lloyds, BIS (Department for Business Innovation & Skills) and Crédit Coopératif.

During this major event that takes place within the framework of the European Year for Combating Poverty and Social Exclusion 2010, EMN and the CDFA will welcome around 350 participants, among whom will be practitioners, bankers, researchers, investors, local government and European Commission representatives, policy makers and the private sector.

The co-organisation of this international conference between the cdfa and the EMN will be a unique opportunity for the participants to analyse how the sector in the UK and in Europe should respond in 2010 and in the future to the various challenges that emerged after the financial crisis to build a more social, financial and entrepreneurially inclusive Europe.

The conference will focus mainly on the challenges linked to a changing Europe:

  • adapting the policy environment
  • ensuring that expansion is done without a mission drift
  • measuring social impacts
  • reaching socially excluded persons
  • raising new sources of funding
