For its 2010 edition, the Festival dei Popoli has decided to promote the objectives of the European Year for combating Poverty and Social Exclusion and award a special prize for the best film illustrating the messages and the objectives of the Year.
The aim of the Festival dei Polpoli is to be a referent point to professionals, filmmakers, press and audience interested in this field. It is not only the unique occasion to see the best of new documentary productions from all over the world in Italy, but also the meeting point for everybody who wants to talk about film theory and language, who wants to discuss new projects and write the future of Documentary Cinema. The Festival also acts as an interface between authors/producers and distributors.
