DEMO | Certificate of Good Conduct

by E. Klaver

Helping labour force mobility across borders by facilitating the verification process of certificates of good conduct.

Millions of organizations continue to rely on paper-based processes for pre-employment screening, which not only consumes considerable time but also heightens the risk of fraud. A notable example is the Certificate of Good Conduct, a legally mandated document that organizations must request, verify, process, and archive. In the Netherlands alone, nearly two million such certificates are issued annually. Our pilot aims to revolutionize this outdated system by introducing digital certificates and streamlining the verification process. This initiative will not only save time and reduce costs for both organizations and employees but also enhance the security of the workplace.

Our pilot project seeks to transform the ferry travel experience, initially focusing on EU students, with the goal of eventually benefiting all passengers. We aim to streamline both the booking and embarkation processes, making ferry travel more accessible, efficient, and user-friendly.

DEMO | Formal Accreditation & Recognition

Through this demo, we aim to illustrate the existing hurdles and how our solutions can facilitate smoother transitions for students pursuing education across borders.

DEMO | The weight of accuracy

by Random Red Ltd., K. Milicevic

Reliable verification of measurement technologies in consumer goods, machinery and manufacturing.

Measurements play a crucial role in our lives, often unnoticed—from weighing produce at the grocery store to fueling up at gas stations and monitoring speeds on our roads. They are integral not only in daily routines but also in specialized fields such as pharmaceuticals, medical labs, and large-scale international trade, where millions of measurements are taken daily. But what underpins our trust in these measurements? Our pilot project explores this question in the digital era and leverages the European Blockchain Services Infrastructure (EBSI) to enhance key aspects that improve measurement reliability across various sectors.

EU Verify - Web3 Advisory Service for the Institutions

by G. Steenbeek

Web3 technologies, such as verifiable credentials, are transforming the way we interact online. They enable trustless, decentralised, and self-sovereign identity and data management, which can enhance the efficiency, security, and privacy of public services. However, adopting these technologies requires a deep understanding of their potential and challenges, as well as a clear vision of how they can be applied to specific use cases.

That is why we offer “EU Verify”, a Web3 advisory service for the Institutions, a comprehensive and tailored service that helps public servants to learn, explore, and implement web3 technologies for their needs. Our service consists of two main components: education and consultancy.

Education

We provide educational content, workshops, and webinars that cover the basics and the advanced topics of web3 technologies, such as verifiable credentials, decentralised identifiers, blockchain, smart contracts, and more. Our content is designed to suit different levels of expertise and interest, from beginners to experts, from policy makers to developers. We also offer customised workshops that focus on specific use cases relevant to the public sector.

Consultancy

We offer expert advice and guidance on how to use web3 technologies for projects and initiatives. We help identify the best solutions and platforms for specific needs, to design and develop proof-of-concepts and pilots, and to evaluate and monitor the results and impacts. We also assist public servants in overcoming the technical, legal, and ethical challenges that may arise during the implementation process. Our consultancy service is flexible and collaborative, and we work closely with our colleagues from the Institutions to ensure the success and sustainability of their web3 projects.
