The relationship between the Regulations on the coordination of social security systems and the Directive on the application of patients’ rights in cross-border healthcare

After almost a decade of applying the Cross-Border Healthcare Directive 2011/24/EU, this report revisits some outstanding issues regarding cross-border healthcare in the EU, such as the relationship between the Social Security Coordination Regulations and the Directive, information to patients and the challenges of cross-border telemedicine services.
