Trade and Technology Council Working Group 9: Intellectual Property and SMEs in the Digital Economy

The European Commission announces the third webinar of the Trade and Technology Council Working Group 9 on promoting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) access to and use of digital tools. The use of intellectual property to support a business is of paramount importance for both the U.S. and the EU. The webinar will focus on selected topics related to IP in the digital economy. The programme will feature speakers from the European Commission and the U.S. Government who will present and discuss subjects having significant importance for SMEs and being of major priority for policymakers on both sides of the Atlantic.

 
Maximising the Impact of Horizon 2020 Project Results

This webinar will provide an overall view of the creation and the development of IP rights both during and after the duration of an H2020 project. The most common planning mistakes will be analysed and some practical tips will be given, so that beneficiaries can have the best possible results from their Horizon 2020 project.

 
Changes in China’s IP legislation and implications for SMEs

The China IP SME Helpdesk, the Flanders-China Chamber of Commerce (FCCC) and the EU-China Business Association are happy to invite you to the upcoming online training on 14 July, 10:00 CEST. From Lab to Market - Successful Technology Transfer Journeys: Atlantic Therapeutics

As part of a specific training cooperation between the European IP Helpdesk and the European Patent Academy of the EPO, the new "Lab to Market" training series is based on a set of technology transfer case studies illustrating how patents facilitate technology transfer from R&D-conducting organisations and promote market success. In this second session, Ciaran O’Beirne, Head of Knowledge Transfer in the University College Dublin, will explain the case of Atlantic Therapeutics and highlight how the university’s technology transfer office enabled the collaboration, paving the way to market success.

 
FoodPackLab 2 Final Dissemination Event

Organised by the FoodPackLab2 project in collaboration with the Enterprise Europe Network, the event "Innovative Solutions for Food Security Across the Value Chain" will bring together all project partners as well as European SMEs specialised in foodtech, agritech, foodprocessing, packaging and food safety. Attendees will learn more about novel trends and developments in food security, but will also have the opportunity to meet companies in the foodtech field for networking purposes. Introduction to Community Plant Variety Rights: Creation of New Plants and Their Protection in the EU

Innovation in the field of plant breeding and the creation of new plant varieties contribute to increasing the availability of nutritious and affordable food for a growing population while allowing a more sustainable use of natural resources.
