Study on collecting information on substances with the view to analyse health, socio-economic and environmental impacts in connection with possible amendments of Directive 98/24/EC (Chemical Agents) and Directive 2009/148/EC (Asbestos)

The subject matter of the study relates to the evaluation of three groups of chemicals:

  • Lead and its compounds – a key occupational reprotoxic chemical for which existing limit values (inhalation and biological) exist under the Chemical Agents Directive (CAD)
  • Diisocyantes – a key occupational asthmagen (sensitiser) for which there is no EU limit value.
  • Asbestos – a key occupational carcinogen for which there is an existing inhalation limit value under the Asbestos at work Directive.
