Erasmus+: Information session on call for proposals for Centres of Vocational Excellence
The European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) and the European Commission held an online information session on the application process for the 2022 call 'Centres of Vocational Excellence' under the Erasmus+ programme. The presentations and the recording are now available.

Ukraine: mise à disposition des fonds européens pour aider les personnes qui fuient l'Ukraine après son invasion par la Russie
La Commission a adopté une proposition relative à une action de cohésion pour les réfugiés en Europe (CARE) permettant aux États membres et aux régions de fournir une aide d'urgence aux personnes qui fuient l'Ukraine après son invasion par la Russie. La proposition CARE introduit la flexibilité nécessaire pour réaffecter rapidement les fonds européens disponibles à cette aide d'urgence.

Commission launches call for evidence on minimum income
The European Commission has just published a call for evidence in the context of the preparation of the proposal for a Council Recommendation on adequate minimum income in the EU. All stakeholders can participate and send contributions until 1 April 2022.

Commissioner Schmit visits award-winning centre for early school leavers in Ireland
Nicolas Schmit, Commissioner for Jobs and Social Rights, visited the Youthreach Clondakin centre near Dublin. Co-funded by the European Social Fund (ESF), the center has a long standing reputation for helping young people aged 15-20 who left school early to bounce back – and take their first successful steps toward employment. The success of Youthreach scheme, and its outreach to 14 000 young people during the ESF (2014-2020) operating period, will be continued through funding from the new ESF+ (2021-2027).

La présidence française du Conseil et la Commission s’unissent pour donner un nouvel élan à la lutte contre le sans-abrisme
Nicolas Schmit, commissaire à l’emploi et aux droits sociaux et Emmanuelle Wargon, ministre déléguée au Logement, se sont réunis avec les ministres de l’UE en charge de la lutte contre le sans-abrisme, ainsi que des représentants des institutions européennes, des autorités locales et régionales, des partenaires sociaux et de la société civile pour donner un nouvel élan à la lutte contre le sans-abrisme.

ESF+: Euronews illustrates European funds contribution to the inclusion of people with disabilities
In its latest episode Euronews Real Economy magazine travels to Spain, a country that has seen the number of persons with disabilities in the job market rise by more than 20 percent over the past six years. The episode shows how in 2021 the ONCE Foundation’s 'Digital Talent' programme, funded by the European Social Fund, allowed 5000 young people with disabilities to learn new skills.
