Garantie pour la jeunesse: sensibiliser les jeunes reste difficile
Grâce au contexte de reprise économique, les chiffres du chômage des jeunes s’améliorent au sein de l’UE. Cependant, la sensibilisation des jeunes reste un défi pour beaucoup d’États membres. Il faut donc déployer des efforts supplémentaires afin de toucher les personnes qui sont les plus isolées par rapport au marché de l’emploi.

Czech Republic introduces new paternity leave entitlement
As of February 2018, the new paternity leave entitlement for fathers has come into effect in the Czech Republic. The new seven-day entitlement, which allows fathers to claim up to 70% of their salary, is intended to encourage father’s early involvement in caring for young children.

9th FEAD Network Meeting: The role of volunteers in FEAD delivery
The FEAD Network kicked off its first meeting of 2018 on 1 March. This event featured a range of discussions, workshops and case studies on the role of volunteers in FEAD projects. 84 delegates from 21 Member States attended the event in Brussels, representing a range of stakeholders, including Managing Authorities, partner organisations and European Commission representatives.

La Commission propose une aide de 4,6 millions d'euros du Fonds européen d'ajustement à la mondialisation en faveur de travailleurs ayant perdu leur emploi au sein de l'entreprise Caterpillar, en Belgique
La Commission européenne a proposé aujourd'hui d'octroyer un montant de 4,6 millions d'euros à la Belgique au titre du Fonds européen d'ajustement à la mondialisation (FEM). Cette somme devrait permettre d'aider près de 2 300 travailleurs licenciés par l'entreprise Caterpillar Solar Gosselies et par plusieurs fournisseurs de Caterpillar à retrouver un emploi.

Two new reports have been published which explore the opportunities created by technological developments and connectivity alongside the challenges that come from children’s use of the internet and presence online.

EU Ministers agree on European framework for quality and effective apprenticeships
EU Ministers for Employment, Social Policy, Health and Consumer Affairs agreed on a recommendation setting a European framework for quality and effective apprenticeships, based on a Commission proposal from October 2017.
