European Pillar of Social Rights: Statement by President Juncker, Vice- President Dombrovskis and Commissioner Thyssen one year following its proclamation
Almost one year ago, on 17 November 2017, the leaders of the European Union solemnly proclaimed the European Pillar of Social Rights at the Social Summit for fair jobs and growth in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Report on inequalities in access to healthcare across the EU released
The study, which includes country reports and a synthesis report, provides an overview of inequality in access to healthcare in 35 European countries - EU Member States as well as EFTA and enlarging countries - showing that important inequalities persist, both between and within countries.

European Commission launches 18 month feasibility study on the Child Guarantee proposal
The Child Guarantee proposal, backed by the Group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists & Democrats (S&D) in the European Parliament, would establish a commitment by Member States to tackle poverty and ensure access to critical services for children in vulnerable situations.
