A call has been launched by the LIFE programme to support actions that foster the collaboration between local and regional authorities and energy communities and/or actions that develop integrated services to facilitate the emergence and growth of community energy projects. They can target either local authorities collaborating with citizen-led-initiatives cope or be focused on developing integrated services to support community energy. More information is available below and the deadline for applications is 16 November 2022.
Energy Transition
The Efficient Buildings Community is supporting six city partnerships: municipalities from the South-Eastern shore of the Mediterranean sea will have the opportunity to connect with peers from the North sharing the challenges of energy transition in the public building sector. A deliverable of Action 2 of the Urban Agenda Energy Transition Partnership, the policy recommendation paper on maximising the use of waste heat in cities is now available.
This publication explores the contribution of the Urban Agenda for the EU to Europe’s sustainable transition by looking at its ‘green’ Partnerships.
The EU Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) is the biggest event dedicated to renewables and efficient energy use in Europe. It comprises of a 3-day Policy Conference, a Networking Village, an EU Sustainable Energy Awards competition with a public vote for the citizens' award, and Energy Days which are local events held across Europe throughout the months of May and June.
The 5 June at #EUSEW18, the Partnership on Energy Transition will host a workshop together with the Urban Innovative Actions (UIA) initiative. During the workshop, the coordinating cities (Gdańsk, London and Roeselare) will present the state-of-play of the Partnership discussions and deliverables, including the Orientation Paper and the Action Plan, which is currently being developed by the partners.
The EU Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW2018) will be organised from 4-8 June 2018 in Brussels. The week consists of the Policy Conference, networking events and an award competition. The Partnership on Energy Transition will organise a workshop.
