Like every year, the European Week of Regions and Cities will bring together thousands of urban stakeholders from all over Europe to discuss the latest developments relevant to regional and urban policy. The 2018 edition is coming up on 8-11 October in Brussels and the Urban Agenda for the EU is happy to announce a very dynamic programme, including:
- A workshop discussing the progress of the Urban Agenda for the EU and announcing the winners of the third Urban Innovative Actions (UIA) call: following this session (10 October, 14:30), you are invited to celebrate with the winners of the third UIA call with a networking drink in the Agora (18:00-19:00).
- A workshop organised by the Partnership on Air Quality: on 10 October, the Partnership will discuss the developments and achievements of its Action Plan.
- The Urban Corner: an interactive space in the Agora where the Urban Agenda for the EU, EUROCITIES, the JRC, UIA, URBACT and URBIS will welcome participants to exchange on urban themes.
Be sure to join the debate and register until 28 September 2018!
Another opportunity to meet the urban community in Europe is coming up in 2019: the fourth edition of the CITIES Forum. Organised by the Directorate-General for Regional and Urban Policy, this major event represents the highlight of urban debates in Europe, such as the progress of the Urban Agenda for the EU, the urban dimension of Cohesion Policy, and the EU response to the urban dimension of the 2030 Agenda and the New Urban Agenda. Following an open call, more than 70 cities have shown their interest to host the Forum and are currently involved in the application process.
