Today we are celebrating three years of SELFIE.

SELFIE WBL was officially launched during the second edition of the SELFIE Forum, which took place last October 7th and 8th 2021.

Jim Devine, part of the team which designed and tested the SELFIE tool, passed away some days ago.

The second SELFIE Forum took place on the 7th and 8th October 2021. This edition of the SELFIE Forum was aimed at empowering schools and teachers (together with school leaders) to take action for the development of their digital capacity and skills.

To mark World Teachers Day, the Commission launched SELFIEforTEACHERS, a new online tool for teachers to reflect on how they use digital technologies in their teaching activities.

On Thursday September 23th, 2021, SELFIE team leader, Nikoleta Giannoutsou, took part in this event, providing a speech about explaining the SELFIE tool and its current situation and next steps. 

On September 28th, César Herrero, who leads the development of SELFIE for work-based learning module, participated in this event, with an intervention providing details about the SELFIE tool and next developments. Deputy Head of Human Capital and Employment Unit, Yves Punie took part in the closure. 

On Friday 20 August, SELFIE project leader Nikoleta Giannoutsou took part of the 2021 Global Education Conference giving a keynote speech: Digital Competences and Assessment in A 5G Empowered Smart Education: The Role of the Human Factor.

Nikoleta Giannoutsou, SELFIE project leader, participated in a panel discussion at the International conference "Reinventing Education" organised by the Journal Scuola Democratica.

The results of the pilots contributed to improve SELFIE for work-based learning to be ready for its use.

The Spanish Ministry of Education and VET has elaborated a guide to help schools in the development process of a school action plan, adapted to the specific needs, features and interests of every single school.

The members of the #SELFIE_EU team of the JRC Sevilla have created the group SELFIE_EU Network in order to disseminate news, improvements, events and all information related to the tool.

Last summer in July 2020 the SELFIE team prepared and released in record time a specific questionnaire for schools forced to teach remotely, mostly through digital medias, our "Remote teaching and learning questionnaire".

The current SELFIE session will be open until the end of 2021, closing on the 31st of December. Schools wishing to run an exercise this semester should be finished by then.

SELFIE PTK (SELFIE Pedagogical Innovation Assistant Toolkit) is a comprehensive package assisting schools to develop a SELFIE-based action plan for effective digital age learning.

These three MOOCs, offered by INTEF, SHERPA Project and School Education Gateaway, will help you in different ways to progress in your digital journey.

The School Education Gateway, Europe’s online platform for school education, will launch a short open online course on how to promote the Personal, Social and Learning to Learn key competence.
