Eight of the top ten most innovative universities in Europe are EIT Community partners

Half of the 100 most innovative are EIT Community partners, including the top three: KU Leuven, Imperial College London and the University of Cambridge. Of the 100 universities in the list, 51 universities are EIT Community partners. How is the EIT involved with universities? The EIT’s Innovation Communities are partnerships that bring together businesses, research centres and universities; their partners include some of the biggest names in the world in these three areas.

The European Institute of Innovation & Technology (EIT) is an independent EU body based in Budapest that is strengthening Europe's ability to innovate. The EIT recently launched a call for expressions of interest for the selection of new members of the EIT Governing Board. The EIT Governing Board is entrusted with providing the strategic leadership of the EIT. Application deadline is 14 May 2018.

EIT Community delivering significant impact for Europe and its citizens

A new study points to substantial successes in each of the EIT's key areas. The study, 'EIT: Our Impact from 2010 - 2016', analysed the global and European socio-economic impact of the EIT and its Innovation Communities between 2010 and 2016. With existing reviews mostly focusing on results and efficiency, the study sets out to look beyond those results and structure the achievements of the EIT Community in terms of impact.
