The Graphene Experience Zone at the Mobile World Congress

Following the success of the Graphene Pavilion in 2016 the Graphene Flagship will showcase the latest achievements and innovations from the graphene community covering a worldwide perspective in a Graphene Experience Zone at the Mobile World Congress.

 
Presidency event on Quantum Technology

Malta is holding a Presidency event, in cooperation with the Commission, to inform the community about the status of the preparation of the Quantum Technology (QT) Flagship and to promote its objectives. The high level experts group will present its first recommendations towards the QT Flagship. At the event, several countries intend to announce important national initiatives that complement very well the European strategy.

 
Science day at the World Organic Trade Fair

TP Organics and the Technology Innovation Platform of IFOAM (TIPI) are organizing a science day on the occasion of the World Organic trade fair in Nuremberg. One session will be dedicated to the outlook and developments of the EU agricultural R&I policy.

 
QuantERA Proposers' Day

QuantERA organises a networking event to allow researchers to exchange ideas in order to form or strengthen consortia for proposals on quantum technologies to its Call 2017.

 
How FET projects can reach investors

FET2RIN is calling for a second round of workshops to help FET-funded projects with their outreach activities to the market. Applications are now open for three workshops to be held in Brussels in January, February and March 2017.

 
Workshop: EU-Africa R&I Partnership on Food and Nutrition Security and Sustainable Agriculture – FNSSA

The European and African Unions adopted in April 2016 a roadmap on research and innovation for food and nutrition security and sustainable agriculture (FNSSA). The European Commission invited around 25 African and European experts to discuss the state of play of this cooperation and to further develop the FNSSA priority themes with a view to contribute to Horizon 2020 work programme 2018-2020.

 
eInfrastructure Proposers' Day 2017

The eInfrastructure Proposers' Day 2017 is organised to allow the consortia currently preparing proposals for EINFRA-12-2017 to present their concepts and get additional input from potential partners.

 
European Summit on Digital Innovation for Active and Healthy Ageing.

This Summit will look at how digital technology will transform the way we think about delivering health and care in Europe. Areas covered will range from health (medical treatment) to prevention and healthy lifestyles and other areas of the Silver Economy (Silver Tourism, Age Friendly Homes and Living Environments etc.). Participants will help to the define a shared vision on how innovation can transform demographic change into an opportunity for Europe's ageing society and the Silver Economy

 
European Robotics Week 2016

The 6th edition of the European Robotics Week takes place on 18-27th November 2016. The number of robot related activities is expected to reach over 700 all over Europe and beyond as far away as Pakistan this year. Lots of activities are open for the general public and free of charge.

 
European High Performance Computing projects showcase at Supercomputing '16

During a dedicated session, organised by the European Technology Platform for High-Performance Computing (ETP4HPC) and the EU funded Coordination Action EXDCI (European eXtreme Data and Computing Initiative), the European HPC projects will showcase their work, aiming to seed new collaborations with international partners, to accelerate progress in Exascale research and development.

International Conference on Sustainable Smart Manufacturing

ESCAPE training workshop: Towards Energy-efficient Scalable Algorithms for Weather and Climate prediction

The H2020 project ESCAPE aims to develop world-class, exascale, computing capabilities for numerical weather prediction (NWP) and future climate models. In October, the project will hold its first workshop, relevant for EU projects involving High Performance Computing for weather, climate, ocean/sea, Earth System Modelling communities. It will include dissemination and training sessions.
