In this activity, carried out during spring/summer 2018, the impact of service restrictions on up- and downstream economic activities was investigated. Over time, the analysis was focused on the EU retail sector.

Recent evolution of firm mark-ups in the EU

In this block of research carried out during winter 2018/19, JRC reviewed the state of current knowledge on firms' mark-ups, and in particular the question of whether the rising trend of mark-ups observed in the US is also detected in Europe.
