The sequence of accounts tool is an interactive table that shows the relationships between non-financial flows and financial stocks and flows in the economy for the various institutional sectors. It covers the EU, euro area, individual EU countries as well as Iceland, Norway, and Switzerland.

This presentation of annual and quarterly data illustrates the economic cycle: from production through to generation, distribution and use of income, as well as the financial counterpart of those economic flows up to the accumulation of financial assets. Each account leads to a meaningful balancing item, such as GDP or net saving.
