The Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) hosts the conference on refugee statistics - European Statistical System (ESS)

The Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat), Eurostat, the EFTA, Statistics Norway and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), are organising a conference on refugee statistics which will take place in Antalya, Turkey from 7-9 October 2015.

The aim of the conference is to explore how to better incorporate statistics on refugees into national statistical systems. Its focus will be to exchange technical experience, share best practices and devise a plan for the development of a handbook with practical guidelines and recommendations on the compilation, production and dissemination of statistics on refugees.

The conference is targeted at representatives from national statistical offices and international organisations responsible for or involved in the collection, compilation or analysis of data on refugees or internally displaced persons.
