Joint EFTA / Eurostat / UNECE High-level Seminar on Streamlining Statistical Production - European Statistical System (ESS)

The EFTA / Eurostat / UNECE High-level Seminar on "Streamlining Statistical Production"  will take place on on 7 - 8 July 2011 in Zlatibor, Serbia.

Over recent years a number of initiatives have been launched around the world relating to streamlining statistical production and the "industrialisation" of official statistics. This seminar aims at discussing issues of how to streamline statistical production especially in the context of the Eurostat vision for the next decade among the candidate countries and potential candidates as well as some countries from the Eastern neighbourhood.

Discussion groups will be also organized to look into the practical implications of streamlining statistical production and the situation in various participating countries.
