This event brought together over 200 professionals, with over 80 of them representing national competent authorities connecting to the System, notably authorities providing services in the population, education, and business domains.
Re-live or experience for the first time the energy and enthusiasm of the teams present in the event’s official aftermovie!

A simpler, more accessible EU Single Market
The Once-Only Technical System will allow citizens and businesses to request the automatic exchange of the official documents or "evidence" needed to complete administrative procedures when moving between countries. This makes it easier for them to study, work, live, or retire when moving between EU countries.
The onboarding of competent authorities to the Once-Only Technical System continues to be a major strategic focus in 2025. These are the public bodies who request and provide the data exchanged through the system (such as permits, diplomas or attestations).
‘OnceOnly’ means that we move away from searching for documents (diplomas, licences, certificates etc.) towards data-centric and interconnected public administrations, which can securely share information with each other at our explicit request. An economy and Single Market of scale, with simplified admin(opens in a new tab) for its businesses and citizens.
The next ‘Europe Goes Once-Only’ event will take place from 25-26 September in Lisbon, Portugal. See the agenda and more info here(opens in a new tab).
