For ImplementersTesting Services
Testing Services assist Member State teams in implementing the Once-Only Technical System.
Information on available Testing Services, including the test platform and other tools for facilitating testing, are available on a restricted wiki space.
If required, please request access to the restricted wiki via the Service Desk.
Testing Essentials
Wherever you stand in your implementation journey, the following resources are the main entry points to assist with your testing needs.
Testing roadmap
This roadmap helps you navigate the relevant testing services available based on your role as an actor in the OOTS ecosystem.
Peer-to-peer testing events
These events accelerate the OOTS Implementation through collaborative testing. Find out how to participate in upcoming events and review the results and lessons learned from past events.
Testing wiki
This wiki details OOTS Testing Services, including the EC-operated test platform and tools, organised according to OOTS ecosystem components and actors at the EU, national, and sub-national levels.

resources:
-
Test platform
Testing Services are mainly built around the ITB Test Platform(opens in a new tab) (Interoperability Test Bed). The OOTS component-level Test Platform can be accessed in chapter 7 of the Testing Wiki(opens in a new tab).
-
The OOTS validator
The validator(opens in a new tab) implements and validates the data model defined in the OOTS Exchange Data Model. For XML files, it performs schema validation against the XSD and checks business rules and codelists using Schematron and Genericode.
-
Peer-to-peer testing events
Peer-to-peer testing is done at the Projectathons and Accelerator events organised by the Commission.
-
Connectivity testing and support
Connectivity testing or dedicated support for any relevant OOTS topic is also possible with the Support Team. eDelivery conformance testing is possible via the eDelivery website(opens in a new tab).
Upcoming & past testing events
In 2024, the Commission is organising two thematic Projectathons with a focus on specific thematic areas,
targeting a specific set of Competent Authorities.
-
Projectathon #5
The November 2024 Projectathon will be a thematic event with a focus on Vehicle Registries and Business-related procedures, targeting this specific set of Competent Authorities.
-
Projectathon #4
The May 2024 Projectathon was a thematic event with a focus on Education and Population data, targeting a set of Competent Authorities, and linking the Once-Only Technical System with related systems such as EMREX.
-
Projectathon #3
The October Projectathon is the final such event in 2023, just ahead of the legal deadline for EU Member States to implement the Once-Only Technical System. It builds on the work and experiences of the April and June Projectathons.
-
Projectathon #2
The June Projectathon provided a valuable moment for national implementation teams to perform interoperability tests prior to the summer recess.
-
Projectathon #1
The April Projectathon brought together participants and observers to perform key tests on their national Once-Only Technical System implementations, ahead of the June and October sessions.
