What is eDelivery conformance testing service?

The eDelivery conformance testing service helps software and service providers verify that their solutions correctly implement the eDelivery specifications.

Conformance testing is available for both AS4 solutions, which implement the eDelivery AS4 profile for the secure exchange of messages, and SMP solutions, which implement the eDelivery SMP profile for publishing information that enables participants to discover how and where messages should be delivered.

Both software products and hosted services can be tested. Solutions that successfully complete the applicable tests receive an eDelivery conformance certificate as evidence that they conform to the relevant eDelivery specifications.

Successfully tested software can also be listed as eDelivery-conformant solutions. This public list is a primary resource for organisations looking to use eDelivery identify products and services whose conformance has been verified.

About the service

The eDelivery conformance testing service provides a common testing process for verifying implementations against the eDelivery specifications.

The service currently covers:

• eDelivery AS4 profile – for Access Point solutions used to exchange messages securely;
• eDelivery SMP profile – for Service Metadata Publisher solutions used to publish information needed for message exchange.

The eDelivery team provides ready-to-use test cases and a dedicated testing platform, and supports participants throughout the testing process.

The service is intended for:

• Software providers that want to verify that their products conform to the relevant eDelivery specifications.
• Service providers that want to verify that the eDelivery solutions they operate as a service conform to the relevant eDelivery specifications.
