What is this event about?
This event aims to help public administrations (or ‘competent authorities’) connect to the Once-Only Technical System. The OOTS enables the EU-wide exchange of ‘evidence’ in the context of cross-border administrative procedures (documents, diplomas, permits, etc.). Whether an EU citizen is applying to study abroad, or a business is expanding its operations across borders, the Once-Only Technical System will greatly simplify and speed up the administrative processes they need to complete.
This event will bring together competent authorities and experts implementing the Once-Only Technical System from across Europe. It will be a unique opportunity to connect, discuss and learn from each other. Highlights include the possibility to join tailored, two-day workshops and hear inspiring speeches by distinguished national and Commission representatives, namely Andžej Trachimovič (Viceminister for Economy and Innovation, Lithuania), Tomas Misevičius (Director of the State Digital Solutions Agency, Lithuania), Mark Beamish (Deputy Head of Unit for Digital Transformation of Industry, DG GROW, European Commission), Caroline Corneau (IT Project Officer for Building Blocks & Innovative Solutions, DIGIT, European Commission) and Claudia Oliveira (IT Portfolio Officer for Interoperability and Digital Government, DIGIT, European Commission). Participants will also be able to discover the link between Once-Only and key European initiatives, such as the Interoperable Europe framework, the EU Digital Identity Wallets, Semantic Interoperability, and the Single Digital Gateway (SDG) OOTS 2.0 project.

Who is this event for and what is in it for you?
Competent authorities in the population, education and business domains will be able to join workshops focusing specifically on these domains. Guided by Commission experts, the event participants will be able to connect with colleagues from all over Europe and develop concrete next steps for enabling the exchange of evidence.
Competent authorities who are new to the Once-Only Technical System will benefit from a dedicated ‘Newcomers’ track. This two-day interactive workshop will introduce them to the benefits of the Once-Only Technical System, show them how it works, and explain their role in relation to the system.
In addition, Single Digital Gateway (SDG) national coordinators and national implementation teams will receive support to prepare the go-live of Once-Only services in their Member State. During a workshop, the participants will develop a comprehensive go-live roadmap. Commission experts will also help the participants to resolve technical questions related to their go-live. National and Commission experts will also explore the link of the Once-Only Technical System with the context of broader European initiatives and interoperability.
