The right of everyone to timely access to affordable, preventive and curative care of good quality is one of the key principles of the European Pillar of Social Rights. This report explores inequalities in access to healthcare in 35 European countries. It shows that important inequalities persist, both between and within countries. Large shares of the EU population, in particular vulnerable groups, face multiple hurdles and do not obtain the care they need.
