We invite you to visit a dedicated NEB Lab space on the community platform to get familiar with the project proposals and ideas presented at the NEB Lab pitching session last Friday, and learn how you can participate in or support them.

The following working session will focus on networking among NEB community members coming from the same country. The session will be organized in collaboration with NEB National Contact Points.

Dear NEB community, The New European Bauhaus Festival is around the corner. The core activities of the Festival will take place in Brussels, with side events across the EU and beyond.

The working sessions on 27 May (country based working session), 24 June (pitching session) and 8 July (working session on a specific topic) will start at 11:00 CET. We will share the sessions' programme and connection links in the last community update before the session.

This year, two of the prizes will be determined by the public - one prize in strand A “Awards” and one in strand B “Rising Stars”.

The deadline for the call that seeks to incubate inspiring place-based transformative projects done by local public authorities is extended to 30 May at 14:00 (CET).

Dear community member, We are delighted to invite to the inaugural NEB Lab pitching session this Friday.

Today, the Commission is announcing the five selected projects for the €25 million call for the development of ‘lighthouse demonstrators’ of the New European Bauhaus (NEB). The Commission is currently negotiating grant agreements with the selected beneficiaries.

Last week’s working session was all about feedback. We focused on four sets of questions covering overall concept, collaboration, idea generation and idea development (to NEB Lab projects).

Pitching sessions are designed to offer space for presentations of ideas and proposals to the community, get feedback and spark interest among community members to join their development.

The Commission last week announced the 100 EU cities that will participate in the EU Mission for 100 climate-neutral and smart cities by 2030, the so-called Cities Mission.

The EU and its Member States pledged three new commitments taking sustainable urban development forward and accelerating the delivery of the UN New Urban Agenda. One of them is to introduce the New European Bauhaus to start a global conversion on this cultural movement inspiring green transformation. Red more about on the link below.
