Czech Liaison Office for Education and Research in Brussels (CZELO) is organizing a webinar (in English) to stimulate dialogue and collaboration between NEB stakeholders in the Czech Republic. It will also be an opportunity for participants to exchange their experiences and share best practices. The event will feature Ruth Reichstein (European Commission's Presidential Advisory Board on the NEB), Eoghan Kinirons (DG RTD), Martin Mráz (Reclaim Žižkov project - NEB Prizes 2022 runner-up) and Tomáš Vácha (NEB STAR project). Community Update
EDE Foundation (NEB Partner) is organizing an informal meeting of the NEB community in the Basque country. It will focus on building connections and synergies in the community and beyond. The event will take place on 26 October 2022 between 13:00 and 14:30 (local time).
eCivis (NEB Partner) is organizing a three-day event in Getxo (Basque Country, Spain) to discuss and create networks around the New European Bauhaus, the 2030 Agenda and the SDGs. The event will feature four NEB Prize 2021 winners from Spain and other speakers representing the public sector, businesses and the third sector.
EDE Foundation (NEB Partner) is organizing a discussion with Yayo Herrero, coordinator or Ecologist in Action, titled “Degrowth and care” in Bilbao. The in-person event will explore the disconnection of the economy and politics from the materiality of the earth and of bodies, which has led to overcoming innumerable limits and ways and routes to take to reverse it.
NEB partner #DiCultHer is organizing a series of webinars under the title “Digital Culture as a factor for the development of the country and Europe for a New European Bauhaus “. The webinars take place every Friday between October 2022 and May 2023. They address contemporary challenges in the field of culture and link them to the New European Bauhaus context. Wood4Bauhaus Alliance organised a side event at the High-Level EU Bioeconomy Conference, “Bioeconomy – Enabling the European Green Deal in Challenging Times” on 7 October 2022. The event aimed to highlight the potential climate benefits of using more nature-based materials, such as wood and other biomaterials, in the built environment within the context of the New European Bauhaus.
The Education for Climate Days 2022 will happen from the 7th to 9th of November this year. Under the theme of "co-creating learning for climate resilience", each day will focus on one key Education for Climate issue.
EUI has officially launched its first Innovative Actions Call with a budget of EUR 50 million in support of New European Bauhaus projects to deliver tangible, real-life examples of New European Bauhaus (NEB) interventions! The Call is open until 19th January 2023 at 14:00 CET. Eligible authorities are invited to submit innovative ideas and join the path to sustainable urban development.
The informal New European Bauhaus meet-up will take place this Thursday, 13 October 2022, from 18:00 (CET) onwards in Brewdog (Putterie 20, Brussels). We will join the regular Brussels NEB meet-up organized by our community members Livepods and Institute for Erasmus Peace Solutions.
Today, the European Commission launched Culture Moves Europe, its new permanent mobility scheme for artists and cultural professionals, as well as a first call for individual mobility. The scheme is part of the Creative Europe programme and contributes to the implementation of the New European Bauhaus initiative.

Cia Maximalista (NEB Partner) is currently working on repopulating villages in Southern Spain that contain around 5000 inhabitants. They are looking for partners from the NEB Community that would work with them in bringing NEB spirit into repopulation projects in Spain.
The EU Teens4Green project allocates grants to teens to contribute to advancing the green transition in the European Just Transition regions. This project is a call to action to give an opportunity to youth-led actions to grow locally and contributes to unleashing the potential of the young generation when it comes to their engagement and mobilisation in society.
Metropolia University of Applied Sciences and Drees&Sommer presented their respective project proposal at the third NEB Lab pitching session last Friday.
EURAC research and Politecnico di Milano invite you to a conference that will take place on 15 and 16 December 2022 at NOI Techpark in Bolzano (Italy). The conference calls all stakeholders along the value chain of the innovative building envelope to discuss together the performances, the technological innovations, the exemplary front runner cases and the challenges to move towards “Zero Carbon” buildings.

The project Creating Actionable Futures – CrAFt is part of the New European Bauhaus initiative of the European Union and will place the transition to climate neutrality at the heart of urban stakeholders. Last week the project announced the selection of sixty CrAFt Cities from over 25 countries, from Portugal to Ukraine, from the Netherlands to Turkey. The CrAFt Cities will test and share models of transformation with the CrAFt network, receive implementation support and will become role models for cities across Europe.
Three different sessions discussing different facets of New European Bauhaus will take place on 13 October between 9:30 and 13:00 in Aveiro (Portugal). The first one will be dedicated to the NEB Goes South project, the second one will discuss ecosystem living and the third one will address the opportunities of the EIT KIC Culture & Creativity financial instrument to support the cultural and creative industries.
