Today we are launching the NEB Lab: a ‘think and do tank’ to make the New European Bauhaus a reality in concrete and tangible projects. It will connect the initiative’s growing community, share ideas, and help drive beautiful, sustainable, and inclusive changes on the ground.
The NEB Lab is the "think and do tank" of the official New European Bauhaus community. Its function is to support Community-led and Commission-led projects aimed at creating or enabling beautiful, sustainable, inclusive places and forms of living.
The Competition acts as a beacon for social innovators across Europe, incentivising & rewarding early-stage ideas, shaping our society for the better.
The call aims to honour and support the inspiring place-based transformative projects done by local public authorities.
The projects submitted to the call are expected to invite local actors to be inspiring, aesthetic and sustainable in their ideas in order to rethink public spaces in cities and urban and rural areas by creating new solutions for the future.
The projects selected under the call will help citizens adopt more sustainable habits and develop new products, services or solutions.

Following the publication of the call in mid-February we received 26 projects focused on the transformation of places of learning that connect a tangible place with innovative pedagogical methods and the local community.
