This will represent the first of a series of events for raising awareness about how fisheries communities can be involved to help the development of their communities, so as to create jobs, boost competitiveness, and create an environmentally friendly and eesource-efficient economy.
 
The objective of the event is to raise awareness and stimulate the interest of coastal communities in CLLD, promote the achievements of this approach in the past, identify useful methods and practices, but also learn about the local state of play and needs.
 
Croatia intends to dedicate 19 million € of its total European Maritime and Fisheries Fund allocation (252.6 million € for the 2014-2020 period)  to CLLD.
