Organised by the Indigo Policy and Inno Indigo projects, the EU-India STI Cooperation days bring together researchers, SMEs and policy makers to discuss the latest policy, research and innovation developments in the field of bioeconomy and offer extended networking opportunities.

 
Commission moves to strengthen research integrity

The EU's Horizon 2020 research funding programme has now a more specific set of rules on research integrity to be followed by beneficiaries. This is thanks to the new provisions in the Horizon 2020 Model Grant Agreement.

 
European Innovation Council Call for Ideas: what was said, and where we could go from here

From 16 February to 29 April 2016, the European Commission's Directorate-General for Research and Innovation ran a call for ideas to gather stakeholders' views on disruptive, market-creating innovation, gaps in the current innovation support landscape, and the potential remit of a European Innovation Council (EIC). A total of 1022 replies and 183 supporting documents and position papers were received.

Outcome of the referendum in the United Kingdom

The Statement of 29 June of the Heads of State or Government of 27 Member States, as well as the Presidents of the European Council and the European Commission, confirms that until the UK leaves the EU, EU law continues to apply to and within the UK, both when it comes to rights and obligations. This includes the eligibility of UK legal entities to participate and receive funding in Horizon 2020 actions.

 
ERA-Can+ Information Session in Stockholm

ERA-Can+ promotes cooperation between the European Research Area and Canada in science, technology and innovation (STI) with a broad range of activities and on several levels: policy dialogue, programme cooperation and researcher mobility.

With their information sessions in Europe and Canada, ERA-Can+ partners are helping Canadian researchers access potential sources of European funding and vice versa.

V4 for researchers' mobility: supporting young researchers on the way to excellence is a jointly organised event by CZELO (Czech Liaison Office for Research, Development and Innovation), Permanent Representation of Hungary to the EU, PolSCA (Polish Science Contact Agency) and SLORD (Slovak Liaison Office for Research and Development).

 
ERA-Can+ Information Session

The Centre for Social Innovation (ZSI) together with all Universities in Graz and supported by the Canadian Embassy to Austria, are delighted to present an ERA-Can+ Information Session in Graz, Austria.

The information session features presentations of Canadian STI funding programmes open to Europeans, collaboration opportunities for companies (e.g.: under EUREKA), and specific possibilities for Austrian researchers and innovators to cooperate with Canadian counterparts.

 
Empowering EU-Japan Science, Technology and Innovation Cooperation

This seminar will address the recent policy developments and programmes to facilitate Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) cooperation between Europe and Japan. A report will be presented on joint and Japanese research programmes that could facilitate Europe-Japan cooperation.

In addition, three key Japanese research funding agencies will present various tools and programmes open to European researchers, companies and organisations.

 
ASEAN-EU STI days 2016

The ASEAN-EU STI Days bring together researchers, scientists, science policy makers, innovative companies, and other stakeholders from ASEAN and EU countries for a yearly three-day conference on science, technology, and innovation issues and bi-regional co-operation in these fields.

The ASEAN‐EU Science, Technology and Innovation Days (STI Days) are initiated by SEA‐EU‐NET as a biregional forum for cooperation activities between Europe and Southeast Asia.

Transport Research Arena (TRA) is the most important Transport research event in Europe, gathering every two years key stakeholders: researchers, experts, operators, industry and policy-makers.

Horizon 2020 Monitoring Report 2014

For Horizon 2020, the Commission has a legal obligation to monitor continually and systematically its implementation, to report annually and to disseminate the results of this monitoring. The first Annual Monitoring Report under Horizon 2020 is a comprehensive publication encompassing the analysis of Horizon 2020 through its calls closed in 2014

 
Workshop on Industrial Technologies for Regional Growth

Synergies between EU funding for research & innovation and structural funds are essential to develop regional research and innovation capacities, and drive the economic growth in Europe.

The EC is organising a workshop to support this smart specialisation (RIS3) and to encourage dialogue and exchange of ideas between the different stakeholders.

 
Info Day on “Spreading Excellence and Widening Participation" Calls 2016

The European Commission is holding an Info Day on the Spreading excellence and Widening participation Calls in Horizon 2020. During the event the Teaming, Twinning and ERA Chairs Calls for 2016 will be presented.

This information day will take place in Brussels on Friday 8 April 2016 at the premises of the European Commission (Madou Tower, Madou, B-1210 Brussels, Metro station Madou).
