INTERNAL MARKET, INDUSTRY, ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND SMES - Insights from the EU Labour Mobility training programme organised by the European Labour Authority in cooperation with DG GROW

The European Labour Authority (ELA), in cooperation with DG GROW’s SOLVIT team, organised on 8-9 March in Bratislava, a training programme in the field of EU labour mobility dedicated to SOLVIT representatives from all EU Member States.

Bringing together more than fifty people from national SOLVIT centres, the main objective was to improve the knowledge of EU labour mobility rules (road transport, free movement of workers, social security coordination and posting), to support the correct application and enforcement of the EU’s labour mobility rules in the single market and to build the capacity of SOLVIT Centres. Participants got the opportunity to discuss cases and share their insights with the primary focus on practical aspects of the rules’ application. Discussions were supported by presentations given by several EU labour mobility experts and representatives of the European Commission (DG MOVE, DG EMPL and DG GROW).

ELA and SOLVIT have been cooperating since 2019 and this training event builds on the cooperation agreement made in early 2022 between ELA and SOLVIT that allows unresolved SOLVIT cases in the sphere of labour mobility to be referred to ELA for mediation.
