ACTION ENT/TOU/09/5.1.1. : European Tourist Destinations of Excellence

The overall objective of this call for proposals is to draw attention to the value, diversity and shared characteristics of European tourist destinations and to promote destinations where the economic growth objective is pursued in such a way as to ensure the social, cultural and environmental sustainability of tourism.

 
Trans-national research call opens

LIFE environment projects - SMEs encouraged to apply

SMEs and a range of other European organisations can now apply for funding from the EU to support a wide variety of “green” projects. In July, the European Commission published a call for proposals under its LIFE+ programme, a financial instrument which aims to protect and nurture the natural environment.

Second FP7 Space Call published

The second call for proposals under the Seventh Framework Programme's Space Theme has been published 3 September 2008 with a 4 December 2008 (17.00 Brussels local time) deadline. Amongst other issues, this call addresses GMES downstream services.

 
Networks for the competitiveness and sustainability of European Tourism

The overall objective of this call for proposals is to support initiatives of public and private bodies, or their existing networks, to contribute to enhancing the sustainability and competitiveness of European Tourism especially for SMEs, while allowing for wider economic, social and environmental benefits to be gained.

 
European Business and Technology Centre proposed In New Delhi, India

[p]The European Commission is inviting proposals for the establishment of a European Business and Technology Centre in New Delhi, India. This will be a Call for Proposals for which the European Commission has made 6.6 million euro available, representing up to 80 per cent of the cost. The successful applicant will have to provide a minimum of 20 per cent of the cost for the proposed action.[/p]

 
ACTION ENT/IMA/08/4.1.1.: European Tourist Destinations of Excellence

The overall objective of this call for proposals is to draw attention to the value, diversity and shared characteristics of European tourist destinations and to promote destinations where the economic growth objective is pursued in such a way as to ensure the social, cultural and environmental sustainability of tourism. The deadline for submission of projects is 16th of June 2008.

 
Global Sectoral Approaches: sectoral approaches as part of a post-2012 framework

The objective of the call is to provide proof of concept of how international sectoral approaches could work and fit into a post-2012 international framework on climate change. Another aim is to gain experience with and knowledge of developing and employing industry based sectoral approaches in emerging countries in order to facilitate their participation in international climate change measures. For this to be achieved the winning proposal will need to establish a framework in which it will be able to carry out projects in key emerging economy countries as well as trans-national projects.
