This call gives high priority to actions to be implemented in urban areas, being a great opportunity for cities to contribute to a sustainable future.

Publication of the Thematic Report on Biodiversity Disclosure Initiatives

We are excited to announce that the Business & Biodiversity Platform’s most recent work, the Thematic Report on Biodiversity Disclosure was launched in April. This report provides a detailed comparative analysis on the biodiversity-related disclosure requirements or recommendations of ESRS E4, TNFD, and GRI 101, and provides additional details on SFDR and Article 29 (France) reporting.

 
New Survey: Understanding the state of biodiversity credits and their link with the carbon market

A public survey on biodiversity credits has been launched under the Climate Biodiversity Nexus Project. This survey is deemed highly relevant for members of the EU Business and Biodiversity Platform and businesses engaging on biodiversity. Amendment to Horizon Europe 2023-24 Work Programme includes ZP cities

The Commission adopted an amendment to Horizon Europe's 2023-24 Work Programme, increasing the 2024 budget by €1.4 billion. The amended programme also introduces a new call on zero-pollution cities under the Smart and Climate Neutral Cities Mission, addressing various pollution types and their health impacts.
