Construction: EU strategy to ensure a level playing field and fair competition

The European Federation of Building and Woodworkers (EFBWW) and the European Construction Industry Federation (FIEC) issued a Joint statement on third country national workers and companies in the EU construction market.

The Joint Statement welcomes the ambition to develop a more efficient and effective EU migration policy for workers and to develop a comprehensive EU strategy to ensure a level playing field and fair competition between all construction companies on the EU Internal Market (09/06/2021).

Cross industry: Tripartite opinion of the Advisory Committee on Vocational Training

At the initiative of the European social partners Confederation of European Business (BUSINESSEUROPE), European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC), Services of General Interest (SGI) Europe and SMEunited, a tripartite opinion of the Advisory Committee on Vocational Training has been adopted on individual learning accounts (ILAs) and training provision in Europe (16/08/202).

 
Private security: EU Cash Roundtable

The European Confederation of Security Services (CoESS), UNI Europa and the European Security Transport Association (ESTA) called on the European Commission to enforce universal acceptance of cash in the second EU Cash Roundtable to enforce legal tender status of cash, protecting jobs and citizens’ rights (14/06/2021).

 
Maritime Transport: MapMar project

The European Community Shipowners' Associations (ECSA) and European Transport Workers' Federation (ETF), set out on an EU-wide project MapMar to bridge the gaps and inconsistencies in the way data on employment of maritime professionals is collected.
