As the festive season approaches, chocolate may find its way into our homes with its indulgent flavours. But chocolate can vary widely in composition, depending on where it’s produced. So what if you had to decide what can be called “chocolate”? Invite your secondary pupils to debate, negotiate and define Europe’s sweetest piece of legislation – the Chocolate Directive – with our role-play game. As members of different EU institutions, they will discover how rules are made, how compromises take shape, and how even a simple chocolate bar can spark major political questions.
Last September, the European Commission called children and teens to fill in an online survey on cyberbullying. Over 6,300 children aged 12-17 from across the EU shared their views. Discover their ideas, their calls for action, and what schools can do to make the internet a safer place for everyone.
