On 17 July, 100 of our 600+ Citizen Engagement Ambassadors met in person, with many more joining online, for the first edition of the Citizen Engagement Ambassadors' Academy! In case you missed the event, you can still watch the recordings of both the morning plenary session and the afternoon one.

The European Citizens’ Panels have been nominated for the European Ombudsman’s “Award for Good Administration” 2026 (project #22). For those who know the project—or were part of it—this nomination reflects the time, engagement, and commitment invested in bringing citizens’ voices into the European policymaking process. Should you wish to support this recognition, you are kindly invited to vote for project #22.

The European Citizens' Panel on the next EU Budget will kick off on the 28 March. If you would like to meet the citizens who will participate in the new panel, this is your chance!

Would you like to express your views and ideas on the next EU Budget? The debate on the Citizens' Engagement Platform is now open! Join the conversation and help shape the future of EU funding. Contributions made on the Platform will inform the discussions of the new European Citizens' Panel on the next European budget, and they will also be taken into account by the Commission in the preparation of the proposal for the new budget.
