The European City Facility is looking for Country Experts and National Hubs to support local authorities in the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Finland, Iceland, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia and Ukraine. Deadline is on 27 January.

The European Sustainable Energy Week will take place from 20 to 22 June 2023 in a hybrid format. Don't go on your winter break before checking how to play an active role in the conference:
- Call to organise a policy session (deadline 1 February)
- Call to run in the EUSEW Awards competition (deadline: 9 February)

The Commission has opened a call for applications for energy infrastructure projects under the new Trans-European Network for Energy (TEN-E) Regulation. Running until 15 December, the call covers all energy infrastructure categories, including candidates for Projects of Common Interest (PCIs) and the new Projects of Mutual Interest (PMIs).
The European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA) is looking for talent to contribute to the success of its main programmes. On 8 November, CINEA launched the first call for Works and Studies for cross-border renewable energy projects. Applications are open until 23 February 2023.
Local energy planners can already apply to this call aiming to assist and support municipalities in the development of high quality strategic heating and cooling plans and contribute this way to their energy transition.
The third call for large-scale projects under the EU Innovation Fund is open for application until 16 March 2023. With an increased budget of EUR 3 billion, the call will boost the deployment of industrial solutions to decarbonise Europe and accelerate Europe's energy independence from Russian fossil fuels.

An Info Day about two new calls for proposals under the European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund (EMFAF) takes place on 24 November 2022. The two calls are “Blue careers for a sustainable blue economy” and “Regional flagships projects supporting sustainable blue economy in EU sea basins”. They are both expected to be open from 13 October 2022 until 31 January 2023.

The Industry Advisory Group is an informal expert group that will provide the Commission with the necessary industrial perspective to meet the objectives of the EU Energy Platform and address current energy challenges. The call is open until 5 October 2022. The first meeting of the group is planned for mid-October.

Despite the current difficult situation on the energy and commodity markets, the second EU Innovation Fund call for small-scale projects received 66 investment proposals, requesting over EUR 300 million from the Fund across all eligible categories. This represents more than 3-times the available budget of €100 million, funded by revenues from the EU's Emissions Trading System (ETS).
