The city of Linz (Austria) launches KLIMALINZ, a city-financed project that aims to integrate Climate Services developed by the CLARITY project. The microclimate simulations show that urban ‘heat islands’ can be successfully mitigated by greening the main city square or by unsealing, shading, using lighter colors and keeping cold air corridors between buildings.
Beneficiaries of closed FP7/H2020 projects are invited to enter the contest and compete for 6 prizes worth €25,000 each. This initiative recognises and celebrates projects whose results have created societal impact across Europe and beyond.
