The Innovation Fund 2024 (IF24) Call. aims to provide significant financial support to advance decarbonization technologies across various sectors, including maritime transport and inland navigation. The fund focuses on innovative solutions to help achieve climate neutrality by 2050, with dedicated allocations for different sectors.
The 7th European City Facility (EUCF) call drew a record 297 applications from local governments across 27 countries. Offering €60,000 grants for 71 projects, it supports cities in developing clean energy and efficiency investment concepts.

Two dynamic and engaging panel sessions were held, drawing on panellists, themselves representing multiple stakeholders, from different sectors and geographical regions. Panellists provided their thoughts and insights to questions posed, in some cases highlighting opposing viewpoints, but always it was an exciting and balanced discussion.
In responding to this, firstly, it is important to recall that European Blue Forum is for stakeholders to unite and discuss shared challenges and priorities with the aim of finding consensus, synergies and solutions towards a common vision. Thus, in a large part, its future direction and activities will be shaped by the blue community that we are creating. However, this is an evolving process, and it is necessary to create and maintain a strong momentum by firstly providing the opportunities for stakeholders to come together and voice their priorities and challenges, as well as aspirations.
Job opportunities
The evaluations for Horizon Europe Energy and the EU Cities Mission successfully finished on 11 April for the calls that opened on 17 September and closed in early February. The colleagues managed a huge exercise - evaluating around 900 proposals in 18 topics over 7 weeks for Energy, and 208 proposals for the Cities Mission. Well done to all involved!
CINEA celebrated its first Executive Agency Green Week, uniting the six Executive Aagencies to promote sustainability and collaboration. Highlights included a Climate Fresk workshop and a successful recycled toy exchange, inspiring eco-friendly actions towards a greener future.
