The Horizon Europe 2025 Work Programs have been released, offering a wide range of funding opportunities and supporting projects aligned with EU priorities, including green transition, digital transformation, and health resilience.

 
EUSEW 2026: apply for the Energy Fair, Policy Conference and EUSEW Awards calls

On 13 June, the call for Energy Fair stand holders opened to all organisations, SMEs, youth associations, and many more, working on clean energy. Don’t forget about the other open calls! Interested stakeholders have time until 22 January to apply as a policy session organiser, while the deadline to apply or nominate someone for the EUSEW Awards is 29 January.

 
EUSEW: Apply to Host a Stand or an Energy Day

The European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) is Europe’s largest annual event on renewables and energy efficiency. Two calls are now open to get involved: apply to host a stand at the Energy Fair in Brussels (9–11 June) by 12 March, or list your event as an EUSEW Energy Day between March and June 2026.

Today the European Union has capacity to produce 11 million tons to meet the demand of 8 tons of hydrogen. This is 8% of the global hydrogen demand, and close to 80% is about ammonia. Only 1% of this hydrogen is based on clean energy sources. The Renovation Passport Data Model developed within the OneClickRENO project provides a standardised structure for planning deep renovations, integrating energy, financial and comfort indicators to advance towards zero-emission buildings.

 
EU Macro Regional & Sea Basin Strategies Days 2026 | Brussels

The EU Macro‑Regional & Sea Basin Strategies Days 2026 will be held on 1–2 July 2026 in Brussels, bringing together stakeholders from Europe’s macro‑regional and sea‑basin strategies to discuss shared challenges and strengthen coordinated governance.

 
EMD In My Country call 2026

The EMD In My Country 2026 call is now open, inviting organisations, communities, schools, NGOs, public bodies, and citizens to host events celebrating Europe’s oceans between 1 April and 31 October 2026. These events, aim to promote ocean awareness and support a sustainable blue economy. Registration is open until 10 March 2026.

 
Joint Call on Blue Carbon Ecosystems | JPI Oceans

The JPI Oceans Joint Call on Blue Carbon Ecosystems offers €5.3M to support research on blue carbon habitats, focusing on carbon storage, ecosystem resilience, and effective restoration measures. Proposals are open until 2 March 2026.

 
2nd EU Algae Awareness Summit 2025

Organised by the European Commission’s flagship algae project EU4Algae, the 2nd EU Algae Awareness Summit will take place in Berlin, Germany, on 16–17 October 2025. The Summit aims to inform EU Member State administrations about the benefits of algae cultivation and products, inspiring coordinated action under the EU Algae Initiative. National and regional authorities from across the EU involved in macro- and microalgae cultivation and applications — from food and feed to cosmetics, wastewater treatment, and beyond — will gather to share inspiring success stories and participate in expert panel discussions. This invitation-only event promises valuable insights. Stay tuned for updates and key outcomes!

 
Panel Sessions

Two dynamic and engaging panel sessions were held, drawing on panellists, themselves representing multiple stakeholders, from different sectors and geographical regions. Panellists provided their thoughts and insights to questions posed, in some cases highlighting opposing viewpoints, but always it was an exciting and balanced discussion.

CINEA adopts an updated Anti-Fraud Strategy action plan

Major evaluation phase concludes for Horizon Europe

The evaluations for Horizon Europe Energy and the EU Cities Mission successfully finished on 11 April for the calls that opened on 17 September and closed in early February. The colleagues managed a huge exercise - evaluating around 900 proposals in 18 topics over 7 weeks for Energy, and 208 proposals for the Cities Mission. Well done to all involved!
