Eurostars call for projects MAR 2024

Eurostars is a funding instrument that supports innovative SMEs and project partners (large companies, universities, research organisations and other types of organisations) by funding international collaborative R&D and innovation projects. By participating, organisations can access public funding for international collaborative R&D projects in all fields.

 
Sustainable Blue Economy Partnership’s second joint transnational call

Following the adoption of the Horizon Europe 2023-2024 work programme, the European Commission has launched a new call for project proposals to support research and innovation under efficient, sustainable and inclusive energy use. This Destination includes activities targeting a sustainable, secure and competitive energy supply. This includes activities in the areas of renewable energy; energy system, grids and storage; as well as Carbon Capture, Utilisation and Storage (CCUS).

 
Bring European Maritime Day to your country in 2024!

The European Maritime Day (EMD) 2024 is taking place again as a fully-fledged physical event, in Svendborg, Denmark on 30-31 May 2024. As every year, this will not be the only action to celebrate our seas and oceans and the sustainable blue economy. Fill in the online application form before 29 February 2024 and bring European Maritime Day 2024 to your country.

 
Call for Maritime Spatial Planning projects (EMFAF-2023-PIA-MSP)

The objective of this call for proposals is to facilitate the implementation of Maritime Spatial Planning (MSP) in the EU, including through the effective application of Directive 2014/89 establishing a framework for MSP. This call is intended to fund projects developing innovative responses to tackle specific challenges that EU Members States might encounter when putting into effect, monitoring and/or revising their maritime spatial plans.

 
HORIZON EUROPE: Minimising climate impact on aquaculture: mitigation and adaptation solutions for future climate regimes

The selected proposals are expected to contribute to several critical outcomes, including the advancement of sustainable aquaculture systems in marine, transitional, and freshwater environments, aligning with EU strategies and sustainability goals. These outcomes involve implementing innovations to enhance aquaculture resilience to climate change, positioning European aquaculture as a global model for sustainability and competitiveness, reducing environmental impacts, and adopting technologically advanced practices.

 
HORIZON EUROPE: Demonstrating how regions can operate within safe ecological and regional nitrogen and phosphorus boundaries

Successful proposals will deliver a demonstrated set of measures to limit nitrogen (N) and phosphorus emissions (P) and re-balance N/P flows within safe ecological boundaries at regional and local scales to all given actors involved in N/P emissions in a given region, while promoting local and regional sustainability and circular economy schemes and comprehensive guidance on sustainable and circular practices.

 
Interreg NEXT Black Sea Basin Programme Second Call for Proposals

The Programme aims to remain a platform where the links between the participating countries are strengthened and new ones are created, and where the regional actors get together and contribute to a sustainable management of resources for the benefit of local citizens. The Sustainable Blue Economy Partnership’s second joint transnational call

The Sustainable Blue Economy Partnership announced its second collaborative transnational call on “Integrated Approaches for a Climate-Neutral, Sustainable, and Resilient Blue Economy: Engaging Civil Society, Academia, Policy, and Industry». This second co-funded call aims to provide support to transnational research and innovation projects focusing on: digital Twins of the ocean at regional sub-basin scale, blue economy sectors, development of marine multi-use infrastructures, planning and managing sea-uses at the regional level, blue bioresources Pre-proposal submission deadline: 10/04/2024, 15:00 CET (Brussels Time) Full proposal submission deadline (Provisional): 06/11/2024, 15:00 CET (Brussels Time)

 
New Pilot Project call for proposals to foster energy transition in fisheries

The European Commission has launched a new call for proposals to support the energy transition in the fisheries sector. It is funded with EUR 2.2 million from EU Pilot Project Funds. The call is open from 20 February 2024 to 11 June 2024. CINEA will host an Info Day on 18 March 2024, from 14:00 to 16:00 (CET), where experts will explain the application process and offer tips for successful proposals. Three calls are currently open ahead of the European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) whether it is to have a stand at the Energy Fair, to give recognition to today's and tomorrow's young leaders or to give visibility to events in Europe and beyond by making them part of the Sustainable Energy Days.
